Rebecca Blood has recently published another great article about blogging in The Guardian.
She calls blogging a new form of media, something she calls "participatory media".
I think I'm going to borrow this term for my SOCI498 paper - should fit in well with what I'm looking to do.

About this blog...
Tamara Paradis [aka "Sashay"]
...a late-30s retired IT analyst turned digital culture researcher and sociologist. Once a resident of Montreal, she has now settled into a house near downtown Toronto with her dog Sandy and two great housemates, who've got her watching a lot of TV. She's doing a joint MA at York University & Ryerson University. She hopes to find the perfect digital culture PhD program and, eventually, write the great Canadian novel. In the meantime, she plays with Sandy in the park, wanders around Second Life looking lost, reads a lot of philosophy and digital theory and concots experimental dishes in her beloved slow cooker.
